XOP Networks Offers Browser Based Web Conferencing on Flash capable Smartphones

Dallas, Texas (PRWEB) November 15, 2011

XOP Networks, Inc., a manufacturer of Value Added Service (VAS) platforms and Audio Conference Bridges announced availability of its Web Conferencing Application on Smartphones that support Adobe Flash Player version 10.3 or higher without requiring download of a dedicated application.

Majority of the Smartphones now being shipped have web browsers and touchpad keyboards built into them. XOP Networks newly introduced Web Conferencing Application is compatible with Googles Android and several other operating systems. With this capability, Smartphone owners can now participate in a web conference using their Smartphones, avoiding the need to be in front of a PC.

We frequently run into situations where a field support engineer is at a customer location where he/she does not have Internet access. Having a Flash enabled Smartphone allows him/her to use our web conferencing capability to share desktop, share documents and chat with our support center personnel, said James Park, XOP Networks Director of Worldwide Customer Support.

Our web conferencing application is designed to leverage the confluence of Smartphones, 3G and 4G mobile data networks and Operating Systems (e.g., Android) that support Flash based media streaming, said Sudhir Gupta, CEO XOP Networks.

About XOP Networks

Beginning in 2003, XOP Networks embarked on developing a next generation IP based service and application platform. Realizing this vision, we shipped our first product, a Digital Collaboration Bridge (DCB) in 2004. A DCB combines rich Audio Conferencing with Desktop sharing, Document sharing and White boarding, thus creating a collaborative experience for the end users. Leveraging the success of the DCB, the product portfolio was expanded in 2005 to include the Group Alerting and Conferencing Server (GACS). The GACS allows mass notification messages to be dispatched over a variety of communications networks, while it brings an organization's brain trust into a quick audio conference. Year 2006 saw the addition of the enhanced Voice Mail Server (VMS) to the product line. In 2007 XOP Networks launched its Universal Service Node (USN) which offers multiple value added services on one platform. In 2008, we added support for Hoot and Holler conferencing over TDM and VoIP networks on our USN platform. In 2009 we introduced Ring down Firebar Conference (RFCS) that allows a conference to be set up simply by lifting a handset on an analog or IP phone. Several other enhancements were introduced including support for Secure conferencing, SMS driven instant-conferencing, Group SMS and Voice SMS, and One Number Service capabilities. In 2010 the product line was further hardened for use in defense networks and received the coveted JITC certification from the US Department of Defense.

Headquartered in Dallas, Texas, XOP Networks was founded in 2002 and is backed by a seasoned management team. Deployed at multiple Fortune 100 companies, CLEC/IOC customers, Government organizations, DoD networks (Air Force, Army and Navy) XOP Networks' products allow customers to improve employee productivity, increase business efficiency and enhance emergency communications. Having both legacy and VoIP interfaces, XOP products allow customers to seamlessly transition their value added services from legacy circuit switched networks to VoIP based packet switched networks.

Catchpoint Becomes First in the Industry to Offer Performance Monitoring from the Google Chrome Browser

New York (PRWEB) November 15, 2011

Catchpoint Systems, Inc., a new provider of Web performance monitoring solutions for Internet-dependent businesses, today announced two key product advancements that give customers for the first time the ability to monitor performance from the Google Chrome Browser (v15) and measure the impact and performance of third party content on Web pages and Web applications in the most detailed and sophisticated way available. Catchpoint has also become a member of the Amazon Web Services (AWS) Solution Providers Program and added 12 new monitoring agents globally.

Catchpoints ability to monitor from Googles Chrome Browser and their advanced performance analytics make them the only company capable of handling the complexity of our performance monitoring demands, said Leo Vasiliou, Information Security Officer at ASK.COM. With Catchpoint we can not only identify when a third party is causing a performance problem but, more importantly, pinpoint the exact vendor and fix the problem quickly. The speed and ingenuity with which theyve adapted their solutions to meet todays performance challenges is unparalleled in the industry.

With the beta release of Catchpoints Google Chrome Browser performance monitoring offering, customers can now monitor and understand performance problems specific to that browser. Google Chrome services more than 20 percent of the global Internet browser market with rapid adoption predicted to continue, and for some of Catchpoints customers, usage is as much as 50 percent, making it a critical piece of the overall performance monitoring picture.

In addition to Chrome browser monitoring capabilities, Catchpoints latest product release gives customers unprecedented insight and tools to quickly identify when a change in the performance of a Web page or Web application is caused by a third party, such as ads and CDNs, and pinpoint which vendor caused the disruption. Features include:

Advanced Metrics and Insight: Industrys most sophisticated metrics and insight to understand performance impact better, including the ability to see advanced statistics for metrics such as median, geometrical mean, 95th percentile, and standard deviation for up to two full years. Customers also have the ability to chart the performance metrics related to a single hostname.

Zone charting: Customers can now chart the performance metrics related to a group of requests and hosts called Zones including ads, widgets, analytics, and CDNs. Catchpoint provides predefined Zones, saving users the time and resources typically spent categorizing third party content on their site. In addition, users can create Zones not only by domain, but also the entire URL or IP address of the servers.

As a new member of the Amazon Web Services (AWS) Solution Providers Program, Catchpoint has also expanded its network of monitoring agents to all six commercial regions operated by AWS. In addition, Catchpoint is launching nodes in Dallas; Shanghai and Beijing, China; and Bangalore, India.

Catchpoint has also begun a Last Mile pilot that allows customers to measure their performance, availability, and reachability from various homes connected to major U.S. broadband networks.
